I need an expert in Credit to help me........

HI,
I am new here and though I have been a member since June of this year, I have not posted much........I am 54 and have been disabled from a host of autoimmune diseases since 1992. I recently divorced my husband of 27 years and am finding it very difficult since he controlled everything in our marriage for all those years. I have NO credit except a piece of bad credit that is from an old joint account that I didn't even remember we had. Right now, I live with my daughter but I feel so useless and stripped of all dignity. I, as a 54 year old woman and parent should NOT be living with her daughter as a HAVE TO case....I need help, not a hand out, but help to get my credit straight and to BUILD it up. Since I am on disability, I don't have that great of an income so a lot of people are skeptical to give me a chance. I could not even get a secured credit card ! IS there anyone out there that can help me ? I desperately need to be self sufficient and live with my daughter only if I WANT to, not because I NEED to. I would appreciate any help to get me back on my feet. Thank you all for listening.

In need of Dental Work in VA or neighboring states

does anyone know of a dentist in virgina or neighboring states offering in-house payment plans not offered thru care credit or a credit company but exclusively thru them. i don't have good credit since my divorce. I am a 35 year old single mother of one. I have several disabilites in which i have been on social security disability for the past 10 years. I have had two back surgeries with fusion and four screws. I have diabetes and high blood pressure. Over the past several years since being diagnosed with diabetes I have lost several of my molar teeth and it is not only hard to eat food but it is causing my other teeth to shift. I have about 6 or 7 teeth missing totally. I dont' have insurance and i simply can't afford to have the teeth replaced by bridges, partials, or implants. I know the cheapest would be partials but even the cheapest place i can find is around $250 each set. The problem again is that i'm missing teeth in three different areas of my mouth. I have nowhere else to turn. The dental clinic i have found close to my home doesn't do anything but fillings and extractions. I have had numerous fillings due to diabetes destroying my teeth. Please help me. I am willing to drive anywhere I can. I would really appreciate any help you could offer me.

I really would like to fix the things in my life that i messed up. I am not thousands and thousands in debit. just about 3000ish. I can't do anything. File for a loan, get a bank account or a good enough job because of this. i may not have always been street smart but i am on of the smartest people you could meet. I could be anything had i not messed up as a teen. And I still could be anything but I just need help. I need a hand up not out. I mean this with every word typed. I work hard and harder as i get older but there is no changes. I just need a start-up. Credit is the primary and eventually start-up cost. any little bit you can help would be great. Please help me fix my life, for good. I want to be back on the path I strayed from!

Hi! My name is Christine. I am 21 and I have had quite a life. I pulled it together. I still have a future. I have no criminal background but my credit is sorta shot. Not alot of money, just small seperate accounts have declined my credit score. I had to figure out the hard way that money is not a toy. I have since matured and I am fully ready to take the next step. You see, my brother and I have decided to start a business. Cleaning and Landscaping. We have a clear and brilliant business plan. I researched until I was blue in the face. The only two things standing my way is about 3000 in credit and 10000 in start up. I am just looking for a hand up, not out so any help you could offer would be great!!! I really need help fixing my credit. If it is offered for the start-up, It will be used on supplies, advertisement, uniforms, making the company legitimate (liscense, insurance, ect;) Rent and more. Will prove with receipts. Thank you and god bless to all those who at least consider giving me a shot!!!

I'm not rich and wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth...and I'm not on welfare, section 8, social services I couldn't get on it even if I tried even thought I know people on it that have no business being on it!!! I am looking for a $5000 loan for 3 years.  I am willing to pay it back @20% ($186/month).  That's a $1690 profit.  This is for my wife and I's new salon.  So far we've used only savings, so we have no other loans.  Our rent is only $800 a month.  Please don't send any links to Paycheck loans, only serious inquiries only.  My wife and I have had some bad credit issues the last year for a bit, hence the reason we can’t go for a traditional bank loan, and we will not get any more credit cards!  I work full time; my wife and two other stylists will be at the salon.  There really is no reason we can’t pay $186 month.  Unfortunately no one in our family is able to help us right now.  Thanks for your consideration.

About Annanan

Being an older single mom isn't easy.  Was just a victim of a layoff and have a 6-month-old son.  Never wanted to be white trash again but now pretty much living in the ghetto.  Been hungry a lot, borrowing my mother's food stamp card twice a month.  Waiting for unemployment compensation since the last week of August and still my claim is being assessed a month later.  My father lives in a trailer and is a petty drug dealer and often have to go borrow money from him which I really hate but I have no other choice.  Using up the last of my gift cards received from my baby shower for gas, food, and other necessities.  Creditors are calling my home phone and cell about 10 times per day and I just avoid them now since I know I can't pay.  $22,000 in medical bills, a $45,000 student loan, a $28,000 car payment, and a few thousand dollars in credit bills.  Filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy about 5 years ago so can't do that again.  Boyfriend promised he would help me to finish my online courses so I can get a stay-at-home job but then he had to pay his dad back $10,000 borrowed from his previous marriage, lost his overtime at work, and is now up to his head in debt as well.  Also medical insurance ends at the end of this month so hopefully I won't need my thyroid checked again or medication, or suffer from an allergic reaction triggered by my asthma.  I go to church a lot now hoping God will show me there's a way to acquire all this money I need to get my head back above water.  In the mean time he keeps my spirit alive with the hope that something better awaits me and my son.  Called Consumer Credit Counseling hoping they can put my unsecured credit together but that is pending on whether or not the unemployment department decides I am worthy of compensation.  Forget the car payment they won't help with that.  I keep waiting in anticipation for the tow truck to come and drag my means of transportation away.  Some guy came knocking on the door of my apartment a few days ago for the third time trying to serve me some papers and the manager refused to let him in thank God.  Amidst all this strife I am remaining happy and upbeat I know the people around me aren't to blame but sometimes I just wish I could blame someone not for the decisions I made but for the skanky card hand I was dealt in life that gave me the crappy options to choose from in the first place.  Getting upset about everything is the most useless thing I could be doing right now.  It feels good to be able to talk about my situation and let people know that there are a lot of good, honest, hardworking people out here suffering despite what the news reports are telling you.

On Paying Past Due Bills

As unlikely as it may seem, there are ways around those old bills, that seem to keep popping up, and bothering you constantly.

First, consider paying, only the bills that are the most important, such as your house note, utility bills, car note, insurance.

If a bill comes in that is a credit card bill, hospital bill, etc., send only what you can. Do not send the minimum amount, since this will run you short on your money. Send them what you can afford to send. Even if it is just a dollar a month, if they accept it, then you are in good standing. If they refuse it, be sure to keep the letter of refusal, along with the payment showing where you attempted to make the payment. Keep those documents together. When it comes down to it, and you show proof of trying to make a payment, and honor your obligations, then the courst, credit bereau, and anyone else, will have to stand with you, since you will have documented proof.

Looking for Rental Housing with previous Eviction..

Hi, I'm a mom in Illinois with one daughter and 1 small, quiet cat. I'm looking for a place to rent, apartment, duplex, home etc. but am having a hard time due to an eviction 4 years ago. I'm separating & divorcing my husband; he sadly had problems with alcoholism which led to defaulting on rental payments in the past -- that's what led to our eviction. His issues unfortunately damaged my credit and rental history.

I'm now looking for a place for my daughter & I to move into. I work in transcription and am also a college student working on my BA. I'm clean, responsible, quiet, nondrinker, nonsmoker. If an apartment complex would allow us to rent, I can have my father co-sign (he's a university Professor). Otherwise he's willing to pay all monthly rent so I would consider him as an additional income. I have utilities in my name, they're up to date and I can transfer them.

Just looking for a clean, safe rental and a landlord willing to help us find that place! I can pay a higher security deposit, first and last months' rent. I would like to show you I'm a serious and responsible tenant! Please contact me if you could be of an assistance and thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

Government

I think that the wage system in the government ought to be put back, into "We the People",

into our hands for several reasons.

1. They would work harder  to get their wages raised.

2. Spend more time voting on the items at hand, because the record would show how they voted.

3. They would spend more time in Congress or the house on all matters to get your vote.

4. Somewhere along the line, We the People, forgot that Government is suppose to be working For us, not us for them.

If they were working for us, they would be careful, they would help their people, they would help bring jobs to the state and to the counties. They just like their counter parts on wall street have had the easylife way to long. They need to be in out shoes, they need to work for their wages, not be off on extended vacations somewhere, or visiting other countries. If they spent more time in their state and jurisdiction they would know more of what the people need and want. Have they helped us against big business? Have they helped us against unfair credit practices. Did they help aginst the Oil companies when they were taking advantage of us, no, that was just a show, nothing became of the 'hearings'. And who do we have to blame,US, when and where have you ever known an employee to vote on their own ages and if they could do that would they work that hard, no, they would have top dollar , the best benefits, and not put out too much effort at their work. Sound familiar? Who should be getting help, Their buddies on Wall street or the American workers, farmers, and the lower income.

The American people should not feel like their government had let them down, that there is no hope, that you can't trust the person you put in office. The office that they hold is to represent...US, you and I, and to do help us, guide us,  defend us, and take care of us. I don't see much of that. I see people in office that are there to get what they can, to better their lives and to hell with ours. If we really want things to change, We need to take back control of our government. If your Representitive or your Congress person is not doing their job then boot their butts out of there, don't vote them right back into office, that is stupid. A new person will be hungry for the job, out to show their people that they arethe paeson for it, and surely they couldn't mess it up anymore than what they have done already.

Fight Back! It’s Time YOU know the LAW about Dealing with Creditor

It has been written in several articles and books that you as a consumer have rights as much as creditors do. But what happens is that they want you to stay stupid. The more stupid you are the more they the creditor will win.

So You Must and Need to be smart about creditors and YOU need to know your rights. Everyone in the USA is having some type of credit problem. Even tho there are those who pay there bills on time and those who don’t or can’t, affects everyone. So we are all hurting one way or the other.

Now, because of your situation and your problem, no matter what happen, YOU Still have rights. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. But YOU are the only one who can correct your problem.

After you have figure what went wrong and you have a plan. There are some laws that protect you, no matter what. Now from state to state, lots of the laws do work the same but in some states, they don’t. So check with your attorney generals website. They have a lot of good information about consumer rights.

Be smart and work hard to get it right. You can do it. But here are some tips that will help put your mind at ease until you can get things going again.

Under a law that was passed called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, debt collectors MAY NOT:

Contact you earlier than 8:00 a.m. or later than 8:00 p.m.

Contact you by phone after you have requested in writing that they stop.

Contact you at work despite their knowledge of your employer’s disapproval.

Tell people, like your boss or family members, that you owe money.

Tell you that they will take your wages.

Tell you that they will sue you. (Only your creditors can sue you.)

Send you papers that look like court papers.

Talk to you anyone but you. (They are not supposed to talk to your kids.)

They are not to scream or yell at you or cuss you out, in no way or no how.

That is unfair practices and should not be tolerated. You have every right as a consumer to these rights and more Fair Debt can be found in Federal level websites.

So if you encounter any of the acts, report the collecting company to your state general attorney’s office. In a calm and cool state, get a name, company name and address. By LAW when you request this information, they HAVE to give you this information, when requested.

So know your RIGHTS and stay calm and relax. You have rights as much as they do. So use them to the fullest.

I... like most have made mistakes in my life. Nothing criminal.  Just your average trial and error. However, my biggest mistake, being ill-informed about the importance of building personal credit. I am 25, i have paid off 4 vehicles in the last 7 years. Because I ruined my credit within the first 2yrs of being able to establish credit.  I have only help build others.  My wifes, my mother-in-laws, wifes grandmother... Everyone elses credit but mine. So I now, at 25, have decided to change things. I have been working on fixing my credit for the last year. I wish that this was a required class in High School. I would have gladly given up a year or two of history in place of a class on building credit. Anyway I guess what Im really here for is to find out if anyone knows of a good debt solution. I am trying to get in to a Welding School. I cant because of my credit and because i blew off my student loans. I am just about out of the red with my student loans. However I have to be able to come up with 16k for a 7 month program. So if anyone knows of a way to find extra funding please let me know. Also if anyone knows of the best way to get out of debt. Im only about 25k in debt at this point. And if i could get in to welding school I am promised a great job. That would allow me to better support my wife and 2 children. Also get out of debt quicker. I have an over all goal of opening up a Residental Care Home for the Mentally Ill.  But in order to do this i must get a good paying job and build credit so that i can get the loans i need for my future business. If anyone has any advice or can help... Please send it my way. Im tired of stuggling. God is on my side. I just seem to have been fighting him for so long that i was distroying myself and didnt know it. I just wish there was such a thing as a second chance. Im not sure there is. I dug my hole. I know that. Im just looking for a hand out of it. Please, anyway that can help. Do! Thank you...

Fight Back! The 2 year rule!!

I keep reading from everyone about what has happen in everyone's life. But when it comes to creditors. There is a rule. It's called the 2 year rule.

Creditors, when look at your credit report of any activity that has happen in the last two years of your life. They know that everyone has some bad credit. Even the rich and famous have bad credit. But what the rich and famous have learned and they have taught themselves is to pay everything cash.

So when it comes to credit, don't use it unless it's an emergency. Never, never fall into the trap of using credit. But if you do and want to establish good credit. Use the 2 year rule.

When a creditor looks at your credit, they will see what have you done in the last 2 years. If they see payments being made in the last 2 years of your life. They will work with you. If you have problems within the last 2 years, they will not work with you.

So again, look at your credit report, see the activity that you've done in the last 2 years and will determine a lot of things.

Creditors, banks, loan officers, anyone in this industry will not tell you this. Because they want you to clear the whole thing. Which something you should be working on but when they want to see what is going on. They only pay attention at the last 2 years of your life.

Work and find and fix and you will get the credit that you are looking for.

Time to Fight Back! Debt Free Fight! Do It!

I’ve had them and I’m sure you have had them but creditors can drive you crazy. I know it has for me. No means do I tell you not to pay the bill. But I want to at least help relieve some pain while you are trying to figure out what to do, in paying the bill off.

First of all, you are not alone. You can do it but I know you need breathing room. Well here are five ways of fighting Creditors to help at least for a short period of time. Now, keep in mind that different states have different laws. So check with your attorney general for your state for more information. But in the mean time, take a deep breath and yes you can do it.

  • Creditors should never yell at you or use bad language. They can get in a lot of trouble to do so. If they do, in a calm voice and tell them they are not using appropriate language. Tell them to stop, if not, you can hang up.
  • Get it in writing, most state give creditors 5 business days to get you a letter of what they want from you. Once you ask for it. Once you get the letter, that will help you sort out what the problems is and do more investigation into the problem.
  •  You can record the conversation. But be careful hear. Make sure you tell them that you are doing that. 90% of the time, they will hang up or they will tell you not to do that. They you can tell them that this conversation is over and you can hang up.
  • Debt collectors are working on commission. So the more money they collect the more they pocket. So you can start to negotiate a lower payment or a lower pay off, because the company you owe as already written you off. That is a tax break for that company. You no longer exist to them.
  • Don’t be afraid of them. You have your right as much as they do. Consumers have so many laws protecting them, that we are not aware. They big companies know these laws and they abuse the situation because they know you don’t know the law. Teach yourself your rights and fight Back!!

Whatever you do or how you handle things. Remember you have your right as much as they do. You must keep an open mind, pay your bill and get rid of it. Like that for the rest of your life, you will never have to worry about this…

One more tip, future creditors will only look at activity that has happen to you in the last two years, when granting credit. Not what has happen in the last 10 years. They do that because they know that everyone who lives in the USA has some type of credit issue.

financial woes

like many people have come to realise, it is getting harder and harder to get credit, banks don't want to lend anymore and those with low credit scores are suffering the most, I used to manage my debt by moving it around from credit card to credit card, advice i got from a personal finance website, but now the economic downturn is making that harder to get new credit cards with my credit, does anybody know of ways i can improve my credit quickly?
